Explaining Keto Diet

You need math equations before every meal to balance protein and carbohydrate intake.

Balance it with high calories, an average amount of protein, and minimum carbohydrates with nutrient-dense food such as butter, cheese, eggs, meat, nuts, seafood, etc.

It targets your body’s nutritional ketosis, the metabolic process that will burn fat instead of glucose, reducing appetite and swift fat burning.

However, it will exceed the liver’s manufacture of ketones, which your body uses for energy.

Therefore, you must choose the correct plan as there are four types of keto diet plans:

  • Standard: Anyone can follow this diet to lose weight as it is simple.
  • Cyclical: HGreat for gaining muscle making it the perfect diet for bodybuilders and athletes.
  • High-protein: A high-protein Keto diet can repair damaged muscles faster, and you can shred pounds easily.
  • Targeted: It helps intense workouts easier as you hit the targeted carb intake for energy.

Foods to Avoid While Agoge Diet Vs Keto Diet

Even though both diets differ in macronutrient intake, they are somehow connected by what not to eat food items. These diets have some restricted foods to control your appetite and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Although you can eat almost everything on an Agoge and Keto diet, there are some foods that you must avoid.

Prohibited Foods For Agoge Diet

Always prepare food with whole foods for a nutritious and delicious meal while dodging these foods.

  • Grains

You must avoid cereals, pasta, white rice, and bread, as they are made from grains containing low fiber and high carbohydrates.

  • Alcohol

Drinks like sweet wine, sherry, and beer contain a maximum amount of carbohydrates and sugar, which are bad for your health and lead to obesity.

  • Baking items

Traditional or gluten-free bakery items like cakes, pastries, pies, muffins, etc. lack fiber and protein. Also, you should avoid them because they are made from white flour.

Foods to Avoid on Keto Diet

Going Keto, you exclude these foods as they contain high carbohydrates and protein, which can reverse the weight loss progress.

  • Grains

Refined grains are high in carbohydrates and minimum fiber, but you can substitute veggies, brown rice, and grilled meat for a perfect meal.

  • Refined Juices And Sodas

Most refined juices and sodas have a maximum amount of sugar which is bad for your health and leads to gaining weight. It’s better to consume fresh juices made from vegetables which are high in protein and nutrients.

  • Yoghurt

Sweet or regular yogurts are high in carbohydrates, so it is better to use Greek yogurt in salads, sweet delights, and lunch.

Agoge Diet Vs Keto : Which One Is Better?

As I mentioned earlier, both the Agoge diet vs Keto diets have benefits and drawbacks. Both the Agoge Diet and the Keto offer effective ways to achieve your fitness goals.

Agoge focuses on a balanced intake of proteins, carbs, and fats, promoting immunity and overall health.

On the other hand, keto focuses on high fats and low carbs, enhancing brain energy metabolism and aiding weight loss. For some sports, the keto diet might not be the best choice.

So I can say that it totally depends on your body’s preferences and health.

That being said, it’s important to know the limits of each diet and get advice from experts for a personalized plan.
